One of the hundreds of youth shows held in Somerville’s SCAT Building.

Forty years of free speech, and counting

Since we were incorporated as Somerville Community Access TV on March 21, 1983, we’ve supported the people of Somerville who deserved to have their stories heard.

The SCAT Building, opened in 1984, has been home to conferences, talk shows, band nights, political debates, youth forums, and just about every other form of free speech you can imagine.

We’ve digitized those files and uploaded them to YouTube, and to Archive.Org,

Were you at the SCAT Building in the last 40 years? Email your photo to frontdesk@somervillemedia.org and we’ll include it.
