Let’s celebrate creativity by throwing a Media Mixer event! We kickoff the first event in the 2018 event series on Sunday, April 29th from 4-6pm at Arts at the Armory. Get to know other media makers, filmmakers, editors, actors, aspiring creatives and more at this event! WHY SHOULD YOU COME?
You will get information about upcoming classes, networking opportunities, crew calls, community media membership & more! Members, fans and curious locals are encouraged to attend.
Also, SMC is trying out a new format to help members (although this event is open to anyone to attend) better shape and sell their show ideas to the masses. The goal is to help you go from concept (project idea) to execution (pitching your show to “funders”). This will happen in two phases: CREATIVE PITCH Part 1: The Big Idea and CREATIVE PITCH Part 2: Show Me the Money.
The next session for CREATIVE PITCH Part 1 (the second session) will be held during the Media Mixer! Come to this session to talk through your project idea and help craft the logistics, allowing for feedback to shape your project! Please RSVP HERE! This is in partnership with our colleagues at Women in Film and Video of New England. **More information on the CREATIVE PITCH Part 2 will be released soon.
