Listen, you should Attend an Orientation if you are new to Somerville Media Center. You’ll get a tour of the facilities and meet some of the people who make it work. You’ll also learn how to get starting making media on your own using SMC’s production resources.
Individual memberships grant one person access to the following benefits:
Base Rate: $115/year
Somerville Resident: $25 discount
Seniors (65+): $25 discount
Teens (ages 13-18): $25 discount

This type provides local orgs with many of the privileges of an Individual Membership plus the following benefits.
Sliding Scale
Based on annual operating budget.
$0 to $100K: $100/yr
$100K to $200K: $150/yr
$200K to $300K: $300/yr
$300K to $500K: $500/yr
$500K to $1M: $800/yr
$1M+: $1000/yr
We are proud to offer reduced membership fees through the Card to Culture program. Simply present your EBT, WIC, or ConnectorCare card to receive an additional $40 discount on membership rates for you and your family.
After your membership is in good standing, you can progress forward to engage in production workshops and eventually borrow SMC’s equipment for your production.
