For Producer Development Day this year, Somerville Media Center is collaborating once again with Women in Film and Video-New England for the second event in our Creative Pitch series.
At this event, producers will take their show concept to the next level and “PITCH” their show to a panel of funders… While these won’t be actual funders, it will be a panel of media industry professionals who will give helpful, constructive feedback on what you need to sell your show idea.
SO, WHY COME!? You are your best salesperson and the goal of these sessions is to craft your project idea and then to pitch your project! You will hopefully leave feeling more confident about your ideas or maybe you will even scrap your initial idea completely — who knows?!
We ask persons who want to pitch their idea, prepare a statement that can be presented verbally in less than five minutes with a one-sheet handout for the panelists. You must RSVP in advance to make a pitch. Everyone is welcome to attend and watch the pitches; we ask that you RSVP to ejones@somervillemedia.org so we can have an estimate of how many people will be attending.
