Somerville and Cambridge High Students Speak Out About Gun Control

On the morning of Wednesday, March 7 high school students from Somerville, Cambridge, Medford and other nearby cities walked out from classes to attend a rally they organized in Union Square, Somerville. They call for strong gun control legislation in the wake of the February 14 mass shooting at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. They used the SMC studio to make calls to legislators, after which they went live on the SCATV Hotset to talk with Somerville Neighborhood News intern Crissy Jones.
