Youth from Teens Take Action, a collaborative youth activism coalition comprised of Groundwork Somerville, The Welcome Project, Somerville Media Center, and Teen Empowerment share their thoughts on how school can be a more accepting, empowering place for all students. Youth from Groundwork Somerville, Teen Empowerment, The Welcome Project, and Somerville Media Center met 4 times over the course of a year to discuss in depth issues that mattered to them and produce original videos about those topics. In this video, youth define colorism and discuss its impact on their lives as people of color.
