Cinema Somerville Outdoor Summer Movie Series

Somerville Community Access TV announces “Cinema Somerville,” an outdoor movie series at the Somerville Community Growing Center (22 Vinal Ave). The event series is free and is open to the community-at-large. Cinema Somerville is a project of Somerville Community Access Television (SCATV). It builds community in Somerville through collaborations with community organizations and residents by presenting free public film screenings at various locations in Somerville.
Screenings start at 7:30pm with a BYOPicnic and will play at 8:30pm (dusk). Seating is limited; moviegoers are encouraged to bring their own portable seats, blankets, and lawn chairs. There will also be a baked goods sale, which all proceeds will benefit the Somerville Community Growing Center.
AUGUSTCinema Somerville is collaborating with Smart Space and Launch Over to present an August Movie Night series at the Somerville Community Growing Center. Each Thursday night event will include the screening of several short films (Comedy, Sci-Fi, Horror and Non-Fiction) and end with a Q & A with the filmmakers. These will take place every Thursday night throughout August, starting at 7:30pm with a BYO Picnic and 8:30pm (dusk) screening.

The Somerville Community Growing Center garden is a place for people of all ages and backgrounds to gather, learn, and celebrate to grow community.
